We promote successful learning for all students who are eligible for Special Education services through effective instructional level interventions, access to the general grade level curriculum, and experience with appropriate life and career skills.
Instruction & Learning in RCPS
Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs equip students with real-world skills, hands-on experiences, and industry certifications that prepare them for success in college, careers, and beyond.
Strong literacy skills are the foundation for lifelong learning and success. Our English & Language Arts (ELA) programs foster a love of reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking, empowering students to communicate effectively and engage with the world around them.
Health and physical education will provide students the opportunity to independently use their knowledge and skills of physical health, mental health, and social well being to ensure the development of a lifetime of wellness.
Our K-12 program is designed to cultivate a robust number sense in our students as well as keen computational skills. We provide our students opportunities to solve rich mathematical problems and encourage the development of their reasoning and communication abilities.
History and Social Science instruction is based on the principles of the C3 Framework (College, Career, and Civic Life) for Social Studies State Standards.
Work-Based Learning is school-coordinated workplace experiences related to students’ career goals and/or interests, connected to a course, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.

We recognize that proficiency in multiple languages is essential for success in our interconnected world. Our World Languages program offers students the opportunity to develop communication skills and cultural understanding that are vital in today's global society.
