I hope everyone is staying warm! We have had another terrific week at JWES! Excitement is in the air as we prepare for the upcoming winter break! Just a reminder that students have a regular school day on Dec. 19, and have an early release at 1:00 PM on Dec. 20. There will be NO SCHOOL from December 21-January 2. Students will return to school on Tuesday, January 3.
On Monday, December 19, students can choose to pay a dollar to wear a hat for the day to help the United Way campaign. Students can give their dollar to their teacher Monday morning and wear a hat of their choosing all day! Thank you in advance for helping JWES with its participation in the United Way campaign.

Please make sure to have your student check our lost and found for any items that he or she may be missing. We have moved it to be located outside of the cafeteria so students can look through the contents on their way to and from lunch. Everything not claimed will be boxed up Monday afternoon and donated.
We are so excited to let the JWES families know that our new playground will be delivered next week! The old structure will be torn down on Monday and Tuesday in preparation for the installation of the new playground. I know it will be exciting to see everything assembled after the break!
I hope you have a great, toasty weekend!
